Toivo Unt, who has always been fascinated by the combination of classical, jazz and improvisational music. He has played in many international teams, e.g. Scan Trio, Baltic Jazz Trio, Spirit of Life Ensemble (USA), Art of Trio (Japan, USA, Estonia), Raimonds Pauls Trio and many others. In the Estonian National Opera, he has also been the author and leader of several jazz ballet ideas.
Toivo Unt has been the permanent bassist of the international project ensembles of the Pori Jazz festival for many years and has been recognized as the best bassist at several festivals. Has recorded more than 400 songs for Estonian Radio with various compositions, participated in the recording of more than 30 audio discs. Also albums with Raimonds Pauls Trio like "Bach Pauls Kamer", ''Walk Around Riga'' and ''Crossroads''.
