A selection of Latvian jazz music, which includes pieces that outline the achievements of musicians of different generations in a specific period of time. Various jazz styles are represented, the selection includes both old works created by the performers themselves, as well as jazz classics and traditional pieces. Māris Briežkalns Quintet (Intars Busulis (vocals, trombone), Gints Pabērzs (saxophone), Viktors Ritovs (piano), Andris Grunte (bass) together with Chris Potter (saxophone) and Brian Lynch (trumpet), guitarist Matīs Čudars' project "North by Northeast" Toms Rudzinskis (saxophone), Peedu Kass (double bass), Kaspars Kurdeko (drums), the group of singer Evilenas Protektores, the association of young musicians "Silvesteri Orkesteri", saxophonist and flautist Denis Paškevich's "DPTrio", pianist Madara Kalniņš Quartet "Add Libitum ”, "Mirage Octet" led by trombonist Lauris Amantovs, trio "3Stick", as well as "City Jazz Big Band".
The compilation was produced by Māris Briežkalns, it was recorded in the Latvian Radio Studio 1 and in the New York jazz club "Blue Note".
